The counselling I offer

Do you feel stuck? Do the same thoughts and feelings keep showing up, stopping you from being the person you want to be? The affordable online counselling I offer attempts to help you move closer to the things that matter in your life, in-spite of any difficult feelings and thoughts.

Working with purpose and heart, we will talk about what you value in life, what keeps you stuck and how you typically react to these things. Together we will work on skills to help you approach your difficulties in more flexible ways. These skills may help you step towards a life based on what matters, even though painful thoughts and feelings may still show up. Our sessions will involve talking things through and doing exercises together to develop these flexibility skills.

Counselling can only work when there is a respectful, non-judgemental and human space at its heart. I will do my very best to help create that space.

About me

Counselling is my second career and I previously spent over 30 years as a geologist. My retraining involved a post graduate diploma in person-centred counselling from Aberdeen University and I have also trained in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I volunteer as a qualified counsellor at two counselling agencies in Glasgow in addition to running my online private practice.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists
